Student Ambassador Qualifications
The Student Ambassador program is an invitation only program.
Each spring, letters are sent out to all Wake Tech students who have successfully completed a minimum of twelve credits at the college and earned a minimum GPA of 3.2. Students who receive the letter and are interested in joining must then attend a mandatory information session, during which they receive information about the program, as well as a packet they must complete in order to be considered. The packet includes obtaining two references from Wake Tech staff or faculty members, and a short essay. After the completed packets are submitted, the Student Ambassador Committee selects candidates for interviews.
The 10-15 students who have the overall highest scores on both the packet and interview are then selected as Student Ambassadors.
