Description
This course teaches healthcare professionals how to recognize life-threatening emergencies, provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), use an automated external defibrillator (AED), and relieve choking in a timely and effective way. The course uses the American Heart Association’s “practice-while-watching” technique, in which instructors observe students and provide feedback and guidance. Skills practice is also included throughout the course.
Course Objectives
  1. Upon completion of the course the student will be able to correctly demonstrate 1 & 2 rescuer CPR for Adults , infants , and children.
Outline of Instruction
  1. 1-Rescuer CPR and AED use for adult, child and infant
  2. 2-Rescuer CPR and AED use for adult, child and infant
  3. Bag-mask techniques for adult, child and infant
  4. CPR with an advanced airway
  5. Critical concepts of high-quality CPR
  6. Differences between adult, child and infant rescue techniques
  7. Relief of choking for adult, child and infant
  8. Rescue breathing for adult, child and infant
  9. The AHA Chain of Survival
