Description
Learn the role and importance of cleaning and disinfection in aseptic processing areas. Topics covered include regulatory requirements, cleanroom environments, basic microbiology, cleaning, disinfection and environmental monitoring. Class is a combination of lecture and hands-on learning.
Course Objectives
- Develop a basic understanding of cleanroom environments
- Gain understanding of basic microbiology as it relates to aseptic processing
- Become familiar with a broad overview of the importance of cleaning and disinfection in aseptic processing
- Become familiar with the regulatory requirements for sanitization in aseptic processing
- Learn the role of environmental monitoring in maintaining aseptic cleanroom areas
- Gain hands-on experience of the effects of various disinfectants on bacterial growth
- Gain hands-on experience with cleaning / disinfectant techniques for cleanrooms
