Description
This course prepares participants for the NC State Board of Cosmetic Arts Examiners’ exam to become licensed as a cosmetologist. The course includes general instruction, safety and infection control procedures, and demonstrations of the skills required for the exam. Participants will review the state board’s rules and regulations to ensure competency and compliance with guidelines. They will demonstrate their knowledge and skills in a practice exam, using mannequins and cosmetology tools and supplies. Licensed instructors will provide constructive feedback in the classroom and hands-on sessions.
Course Objectives
  1. This course is designed to prepare individuals to take the practical examination necessary for becoming a Cosmetologist licensed by the NC State Board of Cosmetic Arts Examiners.
