Wake Tech Holds Annual Career Fair
RALEIGH, N.C. (April 7, 2010) - Students and alumni had opportunity to meet prospective employers today at Wake Tech's 20th Annual Career Fair. The event at the college's Main Campus featured 67 employers representing career fields including Business Technologies, Computer and Engineering Technologies, and Applied Technologies (trades). More than 500 students and graduates turned out to learn about job opportunities, deliver resumes and network with company representatives.
In the afternoon, students and alumni were invited to a separate event featuring temporary employment agencies. This was the first time that Wake Tech offered such an event. Now more than ever, job seekers are looking at temp agencies as a viable option and a gateway to permanent employment.
Wake Tech assists students and alumni who are seeking employment in fields that align with the college's programs in Business Technologies, Health Sciences, Computer & Engineering Technologies, and Applied Technologies. Wake Tech's goal is to meet the educational and training needs of its diverse community, and to provide a skilled workforce for area employers.
