New Program Will Provide Pathways to Bachelor’s Degree
RALEIGH, N.C. (June 4, 2014) - A collaboration between Wake Technical Community College and NC Wesleyan College will give Wake Tech graduates new options for pursuing a bachelor’s degree. Wake Tech President Dr. Stephen Scott and Jim Gray, President of NC Wesleyan College, announced the new program during a signing ceremony on Wake Tech’s Main Campus.
Starting this fall, NC Wesleyan will offer courses toward Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Information Technology, Business Administration, and Organizational Administration on Wake Tech’s Main and Western Wake campuses. Wake Tech graduates with the Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, or Associate in Fine Arts degrees will be eligible, as will graduates with the Associate in Applied Science in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Technology, Computer Programming, Database Management, and Web Technologies.
This is a trial program during which both institutions will determine if a full partnership will be created. It’s the latest in a series of agreements and partnerships between Wake Tech and public and private four-year institutions. It enhances the North Carolina Community College System’s comprehensive articulation agreement.
