Local Business Professionals Attend Unique Workshop
RALEIGH, N.C. (March 2, 2011) - Great customer service isn't a secret for businesses looking to get ahead. Dozens of local business professionals experienced the magic of Disney's Approach to Quality Service today at Wake Tech's Main Campus. Participants included employees and managers of financial institutions, healthcare providers, and government agencies, as well as small business owners. The unique one-day workshop, presented by the Disney Institute, was designed to inspire workers with the same values Walt Disney instilled in his organization. Wake Tech offered the workshop as part of its on-going commitment to workforce training and development.
Using team-building exercises, group discussions and case studies from Disney's many business units, those who attended the workshop learned how to apply Disney's solid business philosophies to their own companies. They gained new ideas for creating a service-driven organization that exceeds customer expectations, drives repeat business and delivers excellence.
"In an era where everyone is competing for business and market share, excellent customer service isn't a luxury, it's a necessity," says Jeff James, vice president for Disney Institute. "This program is a rare opportunity for business professionals to go inside the Disney organization and learn innovative, easy-to-implement best practices that can give them the competitive edge." Disney's Approach to Quality Service was sponsored by Credit Suisse and Wake Technical Community College. It's the fifth Disney Institute workshop offered at Wake Tech.
