    RALEIGH, N.C. (January 24, 2017) - Wake Tech is part of a unique new partnership that has been established to help entrepreneurs in Southeast Raleigh thrive. LaunchRALEIGH, an intensive eight-week training program for business startups, will help nearly two dozen local small business owners continue to pursue their dream.     RALEIGH, N.C. (December 10, 2016) - Nearly 800 Wake Tech students received degrees and diplomas today, in preparation for entering the workforce or continuing their studies at a four-year institution. Two ceremonies were held, at 9:00 a.m. and at noon, in the gymnasium on Main Campus. 

    Kenneth Eshenbaugh was the commencement speaker at the 9:00 a.m. ceremony. He graduated with an AAS degree in Business Analytics – which he adds to a bachelor’s and a master’s degree!     RALEIGH, N.C. (November 9, 2016) - Military veterans studying at Wake Tech have a new place to mingle and get important information about benefits and resources. The Military and Veterans Resource Center opened today on the Northern Wake Campus. Wake Tech’s student body includes a number of veterans and active duty military. 

    The new resource center will serve as a home base for students, with space for relaxing and socializing as well as computer work stations.     RALEIGH, N.C. (November 4, 2016) - A very talented student has been named this year’s Wake Tech Idol! Staci Irizarry defeated eight other finalists to win the annual competition tonight, held on the Northern Wake Campus, and take home a $2,500 scholarship from the Wake Tech Foundation. Irizarry is a first-year student at Wake Tech who’s working toward entering the Medical Assistant program. Each of the two runners-up, Gennie Raybon and David Thomas, took home a $750 scholarship.

    RALEIGH, N.C. (October 1, 2016) - Dozens of local vets and their families found helpful resources, food, and fun today at the annual Veterans Summit at Wake Tech. The free event on Main Campus featured workshops on a variety of topics, advice on starting a business, career and image counseling, and even Salsa dancing lessons! Veterans learned more about the many community resources available to them, as well as Wake Tech courses and degree programs that can lead to career advancement.
