RALEIGH, N.C. (April 19, 2017) -Two Wake Tech students have received national scholarships that will help them launch careers. Casey Alvarez and Pervis Williams, students in Wake Tech’s Heavy Equipment and Transport Technology/Construction Equipment Systems program, have each been awarded $1,000 from the mikeroweWORKS foundation. The foundation was established by the host of the cable television show “Dirty Jobs.” The students were presented with checks at a special presentation on Wednesday, April 19.

RALEIGH, N.C. (April 12, 2017) - U.S. Senator Thom Tillis visited Wake Tech’s Northern Wake Campus on Wednesday, April 12, to discuss cybersecurity training and veterans programs offered at the college.
Senator Tillis toured the Veterans Resource Center, which offers students a place to mingle and get important information about benefits and resources. Tillis also met with veterans to get input on the kind of services that are helpful as they work to transition from the military to the workforce.

RALEIGH, N.C. (April 10, 2017) - Wake Tech's annual Open House was a huge success! The college hosted three events on March 25 and April 8 at the Northern Wake, Main, and Perry Health Sciences Campuses.
This year the college had more than 2,500 people register for at least one – and in some cases for multiple – open house events. That's the largest open house crowd in college history!

RALEIGH, N.C. (March 27, 2017) - Wake Tech Community College has launched a new Collaborative Robotics program at its Advanced Manufacturing Center in Raleigh. The training program features YuMi, an award-winning, dual-arm, small parts assembly robot that includes flexible hands and state-of-the-art controls.

RALEIGH, N.C. (March 23, 2017) - Middle and high school students put their math skills to the test today in the 26th annual Regional Math Contest, hosted by Wake Tech’s Mathematics and Physics Department. The competition, held on Wake Tech’s Main Campus, included 300 students from Wake, Chatham, Durham, Lee, Moore, and Orange Counties.
Students compete at four levels that correspond to the years of math they’ve completed: Levels I, II, and III, plus Comprehensive, for those who’ve had more than three years of math. Top honors went to:
