Welcome to Advising
Advising is one of the most critical components for your success at Wake Technical Community College. All students (with the exception of Special Students) are assigned an Advisor or group of Advisors to help them select courses, answer questions about their program of study, set academic goals, and ensure students are ready for registration.
If you are not sure who your Advisor is, you may call 919-866-5500 for help identifying and locating your Advisor.
Students enrolled in Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degrees, which include Business Education programs, Engineering and Computer programs, and Applied Technologies programs, will work with a Student Services Advisor during their first semester at Wake Tech. Students will then be assigned a Faculty Advisor (an Instructor that works in the students program of study) that will advise the student for the duration of their program at Wake Tech. You may see the Admissions Office (Student Services Building, Room 128), or call 919-866-5500 to locate your Faculty advisor.
Students enrolled in College/University Transfer programs (Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, Associate of Science/Pre-Engineering) will work with College Transfers Advisors throughout their enrollment at Wake Tech. College transfer advisors are available at the Main Campus in the Student Services Building, Room 253, and at the
Northern Wake Campus in the Administrative Building. For more information please visit the Transfer Advising web page.
Health Sciences students will work with Health Sciences Advisors, located at the Health Sciences Campus, throughout their enrollment at Wake Tech.
