Culinary students from across North Carolina came together to put their skills to the test on Tuesday, April 26, on Main Campus. The college hosted the 2016 Culinary Arts Showcase, and American Culinary Federation (ACF) judges selected winners in cake, bread, cold platter and showpiece categories.
Elegant pastry creations were on display, and advanced students present their concept bakery businesses. They also displayed and sold their most imaginative and delicious creations – including homemade ice cream!
Wake Tech’s Annual Culinary Arts Showcase is an opportunity to highlight the talents of culinary students from across the state as well as the Triangle’s skilled culinary professionals. Competitors were judged on artistry, craftsmanship, theme and presentation. Winners received official ACF medals.
