    All serious athletes have certain things in common: hard work, dedication, and goals. When soccer player Nazmi Albadawi enrolled at Wake Tech in 2009, he, too, possessed all of these. Nazmi’s hard work and love for the sport started when he was five years old, and his efforts were evident as he played for CASL and Athens High School.     The baseball team recently volunteered at The Miracle League. The Eagles participate in this league each year. It provides children with special needs the opportunity to play a game they love. It is always a great experience for the kids and for our players. The children look forward to seeing the volunteers and the volunteers leave with a new appreciation for the participants and the game.

    The Eagles Cross Country teams did a phenomenal job on Friday, September 5, at the Eye Opener Invitational hosted by Spartanburg Methodist. 
     
    Kayla Roberts and Mary Long, freshmen for the women’s cross country team, were able to work their way into the middle of the field during the competition. The strength of their finishes shows great potential for the remainder of the season.
