Welcome to Wake Technical Community College’s Security Services web site. This site was developed in collaboration with Information Technology Services to inform guests about the programs provided by the Security Division.
Wake Tech strives to provide a safe and secure working and learning environment for its faculty, staff, students and visitors. These efforts are implemented and maintained by a number of policies, publications, services and programs that are fully supported by College Administration. On this web site you have access to documents such as the Wake Tech Emergency Response Plan; and, College Crime Statistics required by the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act). You can also view the College’s Drug and Alcohol, Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment policies as well as other documents and procedures provided to make your time on campus both safe and enjoyable.
We encourage everyone to be vigilant, aware of their surroundings; and, to report suspicious persons and behavior. You can report incidents and crimes under the banner “Reporting Incidents” and may do so confidentially or anonymously if you desire.
You will learn how Wake Tech issues emergency alert notices and will find a portal to a registration page to receive emergency alert text messages. We urge everyone to register for this service because mass communications is essential in spreading the word if a crisis occurs on our campuses.
